
Oklahoma City, OK, April 14, 2010 – Orthocare Innovations, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Toshiki Kobayashi as Research Scientist. Dr. Kobayashi, one of an extremely elite group of orthotists worldwide that has also received a doctorate in engineering, will be resident in Orthocare’s Seattle research facility.
Dr. Kobayashi received his Ph.D. from the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a trained orthotics and prosthetics clinician who grew up in a third generation private P&O practice. While at Hong Kong Polytechnic, Dr. Kobayashi’s Doctoral research was focused on improving mobility through better lower limb orthosis design.

Dr. Kobayashi’s most recent research paper, with co-authors Dr. David Boone and Dr. Aaron Leung, has been nominated as Best Research Paper for the upcoming 2010 ISPO World Congress in Leipzig, Germany.
