WASHINGTON, DC, June 2, 2008 - Orthocare Innovations, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Doug Wallace as Chief Operating Officer and Teri Rosenbaum-Chou, PhD as Research Scientist. These two new hires cap an explosive initial period of growth since the Company's launch in October, 2007.
Orthocare Innovations' newly appointed, Washington, D.C.-based Chief Operating Officer, Doug Wallace, has extensive financial, operations and early stage technology company experience. He has served as Chief Financial Officer of three venture-backed software companies, including ePals, Ruckus Networks, and WildTangent, all successful, ongoing companies. Mr. Wallace previously worked in investment banking for Bank of America and earlier for IBM in a sales capacity. He received a BS from the University of Virginia and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas.

Dr. Teri Rosenbaum-Chou, who received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Utah, has joined Orthocare in its Seattle Technology Center as Research Scientist. Her thesis work characterized bone adaptation following total hip arthroplasty and was awarded the Veterans Affairs Pre-doctoral Associated Health Rehabilitation Fellowship. As a post doctoral fellow, she participated in the development of the osseointegrated implant for prosthetic limb attachment under the direction of Dr. Roy Bloebaum at the Veterans Affairs Salt Lake City Health Care System. Her primary role was to test infection prevention strategies for this type of transcutaneous implant.
