Orthocare Innovations Appoints Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Oklahoma City, OK, October 4, 2011 - Orthocare Innovations is pleased to announce the addition of Stephen Jacobs as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, a new position in the company. Mr. Jacobs joins Orthocare from Checkpoint Surgical, an early stage medical device company where he served as Vice President of Sales and as a member of the company's senior management team.
Mr. Jacobs brings over twenty-two years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus in the bioscience and medical device sectors. His career includes sales, sales management and business development assignments with three Fortune 100 companies, including Abbott Laboratories, where he began his career, and Johnson & Johnson.
While at Centocor, a division of Johnson & Johnson, he served as a member of the initial Remicade® launch team. This product has represented a major advancement in the treatment of patients suffering from a range of immune mediated inflammatory diseases, including Crohn's Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis. He also served as Area Vice President with Depuy Spine, where he led a matrix team responsible for the promotion of a broad portfolio of products used in the surgical treatment of degenerative and deformative spine conditions. These two companies represent the biotech and orthopedic implant divisions of Johnson & Johnson.

Jacobs, who graduated magna cum laude from Franklin Pierce College with a BS in Biological Sciences, will serve as a member of Orthocare's executive management team.
