Oklahoma City-based Orthocare Innovations held a press conference to spotlight the newest technologies to be transferred into the company's line of developments. Partnering with Orthocare Innovation's on this event was Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe, lead researchers from Oak Ridge National Laboratories, John Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and Mike Carolina, executive director of the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology.
The announcement and demonstration drew a full crowd of media and leaders from the bioscience community, at the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park conference facility. Orthocare Innovation's announced new partnerships and license agreements on cutting edge technology from Oak Ridge National Laboratories and John Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. Inhofe underscored the need for continued advancements in the development and successful commercialization of prosthetic technologies.
'Unless the technology can be transferred to a company to make them commercial products, there will remain only exciting ideas in the lab. That is why I intend to address improving the commercialization of federally funded prosthetic research and development,' Inhofe said in a news release.
