Orthocare Innovations now is manufacturing in Oklahoma City a physical activity monitoring device called StepWatch. The device previously was made in Seattle, where Orthocare was based before moving to Oklahoma City. StepWatch is used in clinical research and therapeutic evaluation. Orthocare has hired one manufacturing worker here and plans to hire three more. They'll earn $18 to $20 per hour. "We made a commitment to initiate and grow production in Oklahoma City when we established our headquarters here two years ago," said Orthocare Innovation' CEO Doug McCormack. "This is the first in a series of new product launches that will result in an increased presence in the state." Orthocare Innovations is a medical-device research and product development company.
